Description
With a distinct black, orange and white pattern on their wings, the Monarch butterfly embarks upon a journey of a thousand miles from as far north as Canada to Mexico and Central America and back again. The northward migration requires the strength and sacrifice of several generations from beginning to end, intuitively following the same path as their ancestors. To support the fragile Monarch population, plant ample milkweed and nectar plants, upon which they may lay eggs and feed the caterpillars, as they prepare to continue their great migrations.
